Clean park with new upgrades. Great place ro walk. Nice indoor lodge and outdoor open picnic area to rent. Sand, playground, and splash pad for kids. Beautiful walkways and bridges across pond. Amazing outlook over the city.
The park is nice and unique with how it’s set up. Bathroom was one of the worst I have seen for a public park in DSM. Not sure how often things are maintained as there was also a lot of broken glass by the open shelter.
This is a great lookout of Des Moines. There is an undercover park bench as well. There doesn't seem to be any facilities like a toilet of water fountain, though.
