Excellent location for cycling the Trans Pennine trail or local walks. Good cafe and pub nearby. Friendly owner with good local knowledge and advice. Excellent views over the valley. Slight noise from wind turbine but not disruptive. Good value for money as no loos or showers.

What a lovely campsite. Just spent 3 nights here.The views are out of this world.We only live about 25 mins away from here.But It felt like we were a million miles away from home.So peaceful and relaxing.Gary is very friendly and makes time to chat to the campers..As advertised, it does NOT have shower/toilet block.Which, with being in a caravan it wasn't a necessity. Weve genuinely found our local "Bolt Hole" Other than a couple of trips to Hade Edge to fill up shopping supplies.The rest of our time was spent just admiring the ever-changing views and farm animals (My daughter, partner and Granddaughter joined us for a night with their tent-Gary was very accommodating at allowing her to pitch near us) My Granddaughter ABSOLUTELY loved the freedom and seeing all the animals. We will be back (If you'll have us back)
