Lovely little secluded spot with one of the cleanest toilet/shower blocks I’ve come across recently. We were only passing through and the owners were happy to book us in last minute for a single night. Great short walk leading off the site towards Spofforth Castle ruins, and you must pick up a coffee en route from Trev’s Truck, good price for great quality flat white.

We stayed in the cottages nearby to this campsite. It was excellent. Our only annoyance was route to the cottage - its an ungraded dirt track that has a large number of ruts in the track. Taking it slowly is OK, but the bumps in the road are not fun over a weeks stay. Also, the amount of dust on my car after a week was horrid. Yes, it just washes off, but yuck.
