Hillsborough Leisure Centre

The first time I took my grandson there, a friendly girl with long black hair greeted us at the front desk. So, the second time, I took another grandson with me. Unfortunately, the girl who greeted us before was busy. This time, we were attended to by a British woman with her hair pulled back in a high bun. She told us there were no spots available and we would have to wait for 2 hours. I went inside to check the swimming pool and it wasn't as full as she claimed. When I came back and asked the nice girl from before if she could help, she said she would take a look. However, the British woman heard this and immediately stopped her, saying, "I've already told them there are no spots." The girl was so scared that she didn't dare to help me anymore. Goodness! Who does she think she is? It's just a regular job, but she's treating her front desk customer service position as if it's a tool to make things difficult for customers, as if she has some kind of authority. It's ridiculous.

The swimming pools are set out good for the children, however, having to witness floating poop in the baby pool was disgusting, I reported it to the safe guards and they never got the children out of the pool to check PROPERLY, they were trying to look for it whilst kids were left playing, which I think is appalling. I felt like I was being made out a liar, as the replies I saw was “I can’t see anything” which is silly to say, you was looking whilst people were in the pool when i reported seeing it! When everyone should’ve been told to get straight out asap, but no. Vile. We won’t be coming here again, due to this lack of unbothered attitude. Lovely receptionists though.
