Standeford Cafe

Parked up here for the night plenty of spaces holds up to 60 wagons once parked up if you go and see the staff in the cafe to pay for the night 🌙 and if you want a shower 🚿 you have to get a token. Once you've payed you get a voucher for 3 quid off your meal and I must say the food is fantastic 👌 all the members of staff I spoke to were brilliant 👏 they are very welcoming I will definitely be using this truck stop again when I'm in the area 🙂 showers and toilets are clean and tidy just a nice place to go .

I really love coming here, the staff are always so friendly and inviting, however. What really lets this place down is the provision for female truckers like myself who might want somewhere to stop for the night. So last night I decided to stop and get a shower, not the best choice I've made, motorway services and other truck stops offer far better. To get access you have to go through the men's, then you have 2 separate rooms, one toilet, one shower. The shower itself was a little dire, shower head needs replacing as it delivers a torrent of water instead of an actual shower. The extractor fan in there doesn't work either so you're left in a stifling box room and can't open the door until you're fully dressed as it opens into the men's toilet/shower area. Which BTW, the men get 5 shower cubicles, 3 sinks, a full width mirror and hot air dryer for drying hands with. Oh and 2 toilet bowls which thankfully is hidden behind the door. I did mention it to the lovely lady last night who was quite helpful. Come on though guys, more women like myself might stay the night if it was known you actually cater for lady truckers. The poor offering we get right now isn't an offering, it's an insult.
