Foundry Gym Kings Heath Birmingham

Gym was good before and improvements were made but maintenance is shocking. The men’s and women’s bathrooms need serious improving. The men’s cubicles don’t even have basic privacy. No locks or handles on any of the doors at all. When machines break they usually take ages to get fixed. The nautilus lat row machine took months to repairs. The seated hamstring machine has been fixed but incorrectly. If you drop weights you get a warning which is understandable but should be fair for all. It’s not fair to pick and choose who gets a warning and who doesn’t. Members have been asking for a water fountain for months / over a year. Still no sign. We understand it’s a business and water bottles bring in money but a water fountain is a basic need. The owners are nice guys but it feels as though they have been concentrating more on the new Foundry gyms which have been opened/opening and less priority on the Kings Heath branch.

New member at foundry. Good equipment, ladies toilets clean and staff nice. A couple of basic things missing like water fountain and lockers for personal items. members often leave weight on machines which is annoying and with only one smith machine, you never get a chance to use it. I would say experience is okay overall.
