As a former postgraduate international student, I would recommend you live here. If you are someone who prefers privacy (like me) go for their deluxe studio rooms, mine was on the second floor so if ever the elevators were not working I didn’t have to struggle at all. The laundry service requires money obviously lol, I think I spent £2,50 for washer and dryer per load. Make sure you download the app and check machines are working before selecting one (refunds can take long). Maintenance comes by periodically throughout the year to make sure certain things are still maintained. If you have any issues report them to reception. Also make sure you move in at a time where reception is still open because if there are any problems security can’t really assist much. I think you are allowed a maximum of two visitors at a time if I’m not wrong and if you have visitors sleeping over there is a form you have to fill out. Tesco Express is literally at your door step, the bus station and Sainsbury’s are about a street away. There is a Puregym opposite the the building for all the fitness bunnies. The canal route is literally on the other side of the building, you have to climb up the stairs and you’ll be there. There is also a shop (Delta Supermarket) around the corner that sells all your African necessities Iwisa, Robertsons spices etc.
