Everlast Gyms

Rejoined 10 months ago, at first it was still good value for money. However it's become increasingly grime filled. The showers have had dead flies, the floor leading to the pool area is brown/black and slippery, there is a horrible smell in the showers, the toilets are filthy, the changing areas the pool itself is very cold to the point I've had to leave after half hour because I can no longer feel my toes. You mention any of this to staff and they become very defensive. In terms of the gym they do have a good selection of equipment if you don't mind waiting. And there is a good selection of classes. Sadly ive cancelled my membership with effect from the end of the 12 month contract and will be going elsewhere. Yes it's more money but at least the pool will be warm and the facilities clean. I hope that they conduct a deep clean and fix the broken items, but I don't think they will.

2nd summer without any ac/ventilation system. (Staff unable to say when or if it will be fixed) Portable ac and fans used without much effect. Fire doors left open in a desperate attempt to improve things, but not much use if 25-30 C outside. You leave changing rooms as wet (from sweat) as from showers (when they are working) . One star because of pool - the only reason I continue to use the place.
