Cardiff Caravan and Camping Park

Shocking . Paid 7nights got 8th free . The facilities signed for but not cleaned as I followed staff in . The shower block needs demolishing and rebuilding.We used toilet and shower facilities in our unit as they were soo poor on site. Laundry room had not been cleaned first night to last night dog poo bag near washer. Still there on the day we left.Water was tepid to wash dishes 38 deg. Electric hook up points wrapped in a metal foil . That's an accident waiting to happen. Fridge and freezer provided for use . Absolutely disgusting. Rusty, spilt food , failed door seal. We were supposed to be there for 8 nights but left 2 nights early. This place is run by Cardiff City Council. They should be ashamed . Lots of foreign visitors. Not Cheap. Not a secure site . Plenty of folk passing through. Sunday was extreemly noisy as castle to castle run took place finishing on Pontcana field adjacent to camp site . Would have been nice to have been informed of expected noise early on a Sunday morning. On a positive all pitches are serviced . Fantastic location for city centre venues. Great walks in beautiful parks . Bike hire available on site. Easy walk to shops pubs cricket ground. I would like to suggest that whom ever is I charge of this facility at Cardif City Council visits any C&M club site for a comparison. I plan to phone environmental health regarding some of the issues I found

Bang tidy spot. Clean, decent shower block. Mid range for price at £31 per night. Quarter of an hour to town by foot. Well recommended.
