Welcome Break Sedgemoor Northbound Services M5

Probably the worst services I’ve been to! We stopped at the southbound on the way down, which was good and so we stopped at the northbound on the way back up. What a mistake!! Baby changing facilities were poor, no separate baby changing/family room, it was included in the disabled which you needed to go and ask for a key for. But there was a separate shower room? Tell me which one would get more use? Proper family changing facilities or a shower room? Changed my daughter in the women’s toilets (is there a separate changing table in the men’s I wonder?) and it was set far too high. I’m 5ft 4 and the changing table was at chest height. Food options very limited Tiny Burger King with no seating, the main seating are is very small and had food and rubbish all over the floor. Starbucks had my dad waiting 15 minutes for them to hand a cinnamon bun over to him (not heated up, why it took 15 minutes to give it to him I don’t know). There is a subway which seemed popular (no doubt because it was the only place you could a proper sandwich, the WHSmiths had a few sad looking, overpriced sandwiches. I ended up buying a small packet of crisps and two chocolate bars for £5.15. A woman next to me paid £4.50 for one pre packaged sandwich. Such a difference when compared to the southbound services over the road, where they have extensive seating, better food options and even a small farm shop selling cakes, coffee, flowers and local produce. Best avoid the northbound!

Stopped for a loo break at 21.30 on a Friday night, toilets were disgusting. Went to six different cubicles before I found one with toilet paper. There was toilet paper on the floor of all the cubicles, the cubicle was thick with dust all …
