I stopped at Welcome Break Oxford Services (M40) while driving from London to charge my Tesla and take a short break. It turned out to be one of the better service stations I’ve visited. The toilets were spotless, with plenty of cubicles available even during a busy afternoon, which made the stop quick and convenient. There’s a good range of food options including Burger King, Subway, and KFC, along with a well-stocked WH Smith for snacks, magazines, and travel essentials. The EV charging area was easy to find and worked smoothly, though it’s worth checking availability ahead if you’re stopping at peak times. Parking is free for the first two hours, which is perfect for a short rest or a quick meal. I also appreciated the step-free access and other accessibility features, which make the site welcoming for everyone. The green frontage and small water feature give it a relaxed, open feel—nice to unwind for a few minutes before getting back on the road. Overall, this service area is a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped stop for anyone driving along the M40. Whether you’re recharging your car or yourself, it’s a sound choice with everything you might need. Just plan a bit of extra time if you’re depending on EV chargers or particular restaurants during rush hours.

Spacious parking for trucks, food court with variety of places to choose from but most will be your standard fast food shops. Truck stop stinks of piss even tho there is a toilet about 50 meters away (shows the truck drivers culture really well). All in all it's ok but I would avoid parking here if I can. Toilets in the main building are ok and have been refurbished recently, showers are ok too. I personally use this services for fuel only, lack of security, poor food choices and stench of piss put me off parking here overnight.
