Fabulous camping experience…. Amazing welcome with lots of information given about the facilities and surrounding country side. Plenty of loos, washing up points and showers. The evening entertainment of local singers was absolutely wonderful! As were the cocktails. Such a great idea to have a communal bar area with seating to enjoy the music 🙌 Yoga too. I’ve added a picture of my 81 year young mum on her virgin camping trip!!!! She throughly enjoyed it as did my whole family who celebrated a family Birthday. I will recommend to all and definitely be back again! Thank you for making it a lovely night x

The View Campsite, nestled within an eco farm just outside of the quiet village of Lytchett Matravers, is the most magical of places. As you’d expect, given the name, the site affords spectacular views over the Purbecks. Absolutely glorious scenery. With children in tow, camping is a great option for us, we chose to stay in one of the Tipis. What a memorable experience! Spacious yet cosy, the Tipi delights both children & adults! Toilets and warm, powerful showers are all provided in several areas within immaculately clean, rustic shepherds huts. Washing up stations are dotted around the site, car parking is ample and fire pits are available to hire. All giving this site its well-deserved 5/5…. but the amenities, though great, are not the very best part of The View; Cathy & Kate, a friendly and welcoming mother/daughter duo, are exceptional hosts. Both devoted to the ecological merits of their home, their animals and the wildlife of the area, these two beautiful humans embrace guests with warmth, easy chats and an invitation to join them and their musical friends around the large communal fire for evenings of food and song. (We were lucky to arrive on a night when Cathy’s daughter, Kate’s sister Ellie made fantastic pizzas - bring cash to contribute to the pot). The View soothes the soul, delights the senses and is so much more than a field to camp in. It is a community; people, place, sound, sights, wildlife, spirituality… If you visit, be prepared to leave The View full of gratitude for the sense of well-being and happiness that is so naturally instilled. We did. We’ll definitely be back!
