Excellent value gym with great facilities and welcoming atmosphere I’ve been a member at The Junction Broadstone for a while now and I’m really impressed with what you get for the price. At £15/month on a simple monthly contract (with blue light discount), it’s incredibly competitive - you’re not going to find better value in the area. Facilities: The free weights section has everything you need - squat racks, bench press, and a full range of dumbbells. They’ve also got plenty of machines if that’s your preference. The facilities are clean and well-maintained throughout. The changing rooms and showers are good quality - definitely a step up from budget gym chains, though not quite at premium gym levels. As a bonus, they have a sauna and steam room included, which is fantastic at this price point. No pool, but that’s not expected for £15/month. Atmosphere: Really welcoming environment with a good mix of people and no intimidating “lads only” vibe. Everyone’s considerate about sharing equipment - I’ve never had trouble getting on what I need, even during busy periods. The personal trainers are genuinely friendly and approachable, always saying hello and creating a positive atmosphere. The reception staff can be hit or miss in terms of friendliness - they’re running the entire leisure center so understandably stretched thin (typical of council-run facilities), but once you’re in the gym itself, everyone’s super friendly. Practical details: Parking in the main car park costs a couple of pounds per visit, which is worth factoring in. The studio hosts various classes, and the staff are flexible - as a dancer, they let me use the studio space to practice when it’s not being used for classes, even though it’s not technically part of my membership. Minor downsides: You have to cancel membership via email rather than in person, which is a bit annoying. It can get busy at peak times, but the respectful atmosphere means it’s never a problem. Overall, it’s not the fanciest gym you’ll ever see, but it ticks all the boxes for a solid, no-nonsense workout environment at an unbeatable price. Highly recommended.

Great place, with loads of different activities/businesses under one roof. Gym, swimming pool, soft play, nail and beauty treatments, and few others. Also has a cafe on the premises, overlooking the swimming pool and the car park. Car park is nearby, quite specious, pay and display (being checked for tickets regularly!). Has lift and reception right by the entrance, so you won't get lost. Net over busy place, which is quite good.
