Comfortable. Spacious site on a gentle slope, with the more level pitches being at the top of the site close to the entrance and service point. The remainder of the pitches slope gently down to the bottom. The pitches are a good size with electric points. The main service point is on the service road close to the entrance and reception. We visited to watch the fireworks festival in nearby Plymouth in August (2025). We saw the fireworks looking out over the bay and towards the golf course with the fireworks in the distance. On a clear night the view isn't too bad. There were quite a few people on the site doing the same. It's about a 5 to 10 minute walk into the nearby village, which has a small shop and a village pub, which serves food and has a nice beer garden. The site is well maintained, the grass nicely cut and kept to a short length. There's also a dog walking field, that's enclosed, with several paths cut through the long grass. There are a number of pitches without electricity, offering an element of wild camping. The services are quite limited and the price is, as with most CAMC sites, on the high side. As I write this review I'm sat in France, having visited several aires and campsites that have, almost without exception, all been significantly cheaper. In fact in Annecy in the French Alps I paid €125 for 4 nights with a lakeside location, shower blocks, toilets, small shop and bike hire; though generally campsites and aires are generally cheaper on the continent. Level 10 Google reviewer with over 1,200 reviews with 2 million views plus 14,000 photos with more than 60 million views and still going strong 💪. My reviews aren't sponsored, they're based on mine, and often my wife's experience at an establishment whether that be a shop, restaurant, service or activity, with the aim of highlighting great service plus areas for improvement, if necessary. And boy sometimes it is necessary. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

A little gem of a site, overlooking Plymouth Sound. Fantastic stop over for catching the ferry from Plymouth, very peaceful. If it had shower and toilet block it would be 5 stars. On the approach the lane for approximately 1 mile can be a little challenging if it's busy with traffic.
