This wasn't a B&b, this is now a faceless hotel with nobody on site,I am totally against these faceless, corporate owned air bnbs so called hotels... A hotel is supposed to offer hospitailty? This one doesn't. Rooms are allocated by a message through booking.con 15 mins before the check in time... I only figured this when another couple rocked up, having already waited half an hour and several pointless phonecalls to automated answering services. Getting access was similar to completing a task in an escape room. The room, below ground level was musty and dare I say it stank of damp, two doors led off the room, one to an underground cellar which doubled as a ventilation room, the other was locked with access prohibited... The problem is that the one that was open was open to the outside, so the security conscious individual would probably be a bit put out at this. The single bed ( incorrectly advertised as one twin bed)was rock hard consisting of two wooden blocks topped by a barely sprung mattress acquired from a skip which pinged on every turn. Although the room was clean, it is advisable that the guest should not look too closely. Complementing the room a full size fridge was present and made full sized fridge noises, and as it was surplus to my requirements, turned off. Despite the offer of scratch cards for reduced parking charges (£10) these were not available nor was there anyone in reception as the reception didn't exist. So the guest can expect to pay the full whack of £16.70 for 24hours of parking. One positive was found in the shower, clean and reasonable pressure, it was actually a pleasure to have a shower after the most uncomfortable nights sleep since sleeping on a deflated airbed. To sum up, if you don't like people, have a strong back and not averse to a bit of damp, and have a bit of cash to spare this is your perfect getaway. Personally I felt cheated, by both the owners and booking.com, having paid £144 for 2 nights.

Lovely room with comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean throughout. Plenty of towels for our stay. Room had iron and ironing board, hair dryer, microwave, dishes, cutlery, kettle, tea, coffee and milk with a small mini fridge. Everything you would need was provided for. Hotel arranged our parking permit before we arrived. Great location. Will definitely return.
