Dartmoor Domes

Wow!! We had the most magical stay at Dartmoor Domes. Before arriving Emma texted to make sure we had directions and if we had any questions and what time we were arriving. As we pulled in, she was there waiting, happy to greet us and helped us to our Dome with all our many bags. So happy and chatty. The location is stunning. Private stream running through the woods and bluebells, sheep in the surrounding fields. No one else in sight. Our Dome (Haytor) was the dog friendly option and she loved the holiday as much as us. Double bed, bunk for kids and even doggy blankets. Beautiful rattan furniture and a log burner. Outside in our private space was the provate compost toilet which honestly had no smell whatsoever, private kitchenette, private shower room which had great water pressure. As well as our own log burner hot tub, hammock, fire pit and bbq with seating. We had 1 day of sun and one of rain and on both we had a fab time, kids still enjoyed the hot tub even in the rain and loved running up the stream in there water shoes. I had mentioned it was my husbands birthday and they had left special birthday message and treat as well as bunting and balloons. Such lively little touches. Although there is no mains electricity they have solar lights a old USB attachment to the solar for emergency charging if needed but we loved the excuse to just turn everything off and relax. Then on our last day we were taken up to visit the Alpacca/horses and feed them. Honestly a wonderful family run set up. We had the best time and you were so welcoming. I have told everyone I speak to about our trip how much I reccomend going and hope that we get to come again ourselves. Thank you for a perfect mini break.

We had a four night fantastic stay in mid September in this lovely secluded glamping site on the southwestern edge of Dartmoor. The moors were only a ten minute drive with access to walking and even some wild swimming! The domes were luxurious with everything you could need and more. Loved the wood burner inside the dome which kept us toasty on those chilly evenings. The hosts were very friendly and really helpful including ferrying us out for dinner one evening! Definitely recommend and will certainly return.
