Cofton Holidays: Holiday Park

We’ve just come back from a lovely week on one of the serviced pitches. The site itself is very clean and well kept, and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. The toilet blocks and showers were spotless, which made a big difference, though the showers were a bit hit and miss — some stayed on longer than others, and a few of the locks were quite stiff. The electricity set-up via the app was a bit of a faff at first, just something extra to think about, but once I got the hang of it I was confident enough to manage. We were quite disappointed with the children’s evening entertainment. While it’s great to see so much effort put into it, it felt a little too pushy — we’re on holiday to relax, not to be dragged onto the dance floor every other song. It also seemed that the same children were being chosen again and again for games, which was disheartening for our daughter who waited twice and wasn’t picked. A bit more fairness and variety would really improve this. On the other hand, the adult evening entertainment was fantastic and a real highlight. Another small downside was discovering we needed to pay extra for the indoor pool. We completely understand the need to book, but given the already high cost of the site, it felt a bit much to be charged again. Overall, it’s a lovely site and we really enjoyed our stay. Next time, we’d probably use it for just a couple of nights rather than our base for the whole week, and put some of the savings towards exploring more of the beautiful coastline.
