California Cross Camping and Caravanning Club Site

This campsite is adequate. The usual good quality shower blocks, clean and well looked after. The wardens were all friendly and helpful. The site itself is difficult to negotiate if you are disabled 😕 steep slopes. Steps need work to make them less steep and deep cracks need filling. The flower beds around the shower block are full of weeds and dead plants. The approach from the A38 is nerve rattling, narrow lanes and a few passing places. Very difficult with a caravan on tow especially when you meet a lorry or harvester as we did. Got scratches right down both sides and it took us 50 minutes to travel 3 miles. We will not be returning 😒

Well kept and very clean facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent well stocked shop round the corner and well placed site to visit much of south Devon.
