YHA Truleigh Hill

This was my first experience of staying at a youth hostel and I was really impressed. The location is lovely, right on the South Downs Way with views down to the coast. I booked a private room which was very clean and comfortable and the nearby shared facilities were well kept. The shower was great, hot and powerful and just what I needed after a long day of walking. I took advantage of the burger and beer offer in the cafe which was really good value for money and very tasty. Breakfast was plentiful with self service for continental options and the cooked breakfast made to order. All the staff I encountered were really helpful and friendly and from what I observed in their interaction with other guests it seemed that nothing was too much trouble. Well done Truleigh Hill, you have inspired me to try youth hostelling again in the future 😊
