The Oxford House

Couldn’t park as arrived late and situated above few shops and takeaway . Not a very good welcoming . Bathroom smelt awful , flooring looked dirty and mould all around the edges of wet room . Double bed was so noisy every time you moved or turned over , hardly slept at all . We were at the front so could hear the traffic . Can’t watch the tv from the bed as tucked in the corner on the table , one chair to sit on for 2 people . I would say carpet was nice and walls were cleanly painted . Bedding and towels were clean and fresh . Just needs modernising as wasn’t that cheap . I would say fair not a good rating as mentioned . Glad it was only one night

I needed somewhere to stay for 2 nights, and this was better than expected. My room seemed to have been freshly decorated and carpeted. My en-suite bathroom was a wet room. Slightly noisy, not from other guests, just the fire door from the staff room slamming sometimes, but I live in a block of flats, so I barely notice background noises anymore
