This is a good gym with equipment. It is also a dirty gym. Both my partner and I agree the male and female toilets leave a lot to be desired. Given that there are no sanitising towels, there is an element of gross that is combined with working out here (we’ve had our membership a year). They say they don’t offer sanitisation wipes for sustainability (pure gym does wipe stations) but there are eco alternatives such as spray bottle stations with biodegradable towels, and biodegradable wipes. We bring our own towels of course but honestly the cleaners can’t clean the equipment after every person. And, with how busy the gym is, the majority of people aren’t wiping up after themselves. The cleaning seems like a cursory wipe and a push of the broom. The cleaners do make the rounds as we do see them. But… not often enough. Deep cleaning isn’t looking like it’s happening to the level it should at a gym where people sweat, bathe etc. Toilet cisterns have rings of dirt, sitting water on sinks, hairs all over the floor, greasy finger prints and body sweat marks, and broken locker locks. This busy gym is worn down and hygiene updates are desperately needed. The cost cutting is palpable. Please , at the very least, give us wipe stations! Especially in this post pandemic environment. It’s gross.
