PureGym Portsmouth North Harbour

This is very good location for a 24 hour gym. I've been a member of PureGym since 2013 and have used several locations. There is plenty of parking if you drive but be aware of time restrictions. The gym has a great selection of free weights and machines a big cross fit area and mats for stretching. The gym is clean but the showers were absolutely disgusting. I'm not sure why you guys leave your skiddy pants in the showers but grow up, mummy isn't cleaning up after you here. However with only one shower out of 5 working, the one that was was full of pubic hair and utterly vile. I told the manager who having plenty of time to restock profitable vending machines told me "we try our best". Well then Pure management is letting you down. Disgusting changing rooms, but decent gym. Advice - Shower at home, don't bother complaining either.

Updated review 09-11-2024. ⭐⭐⭐ After rejoining this gym after a few years away, I was disappointed to see that management who are aware of the locker issues haven't been able to get head office to sort them (according to a member of staff). Many lockers that don't lock because of defective mechanisms are of no use. A shame pure gym doesn't seem to take members personal belongings seriously. Original review of 5 years below. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My first time at this gym was today. The gym was clean, the shower, toilets and changing facilities also clean. The gym equipment clean and working. The background music level was balanced, so you could put your Earphones in comfortably listen to your own music. Overall I'm really impressed with this gym - I've been yo a few over the years and this one is up there with the best, at aroind half the cost! The changing room is IMO a bit small, but I can't really take one star off for that. 😊
