This is quite an unassuming spot, but the history alone makes it a great place to visit. I would not say it was for swimming / bathing, but I took a small dingy for my daughter and she had a great time. It is also fun to watch the punts being taken over the rollers. The walks around that area are stunning so take a picnic and wander.

Water is a bit muddy, I wouldn't recommend actually swimming/bathing here. Otherwise a nice secluded spot.
