The staff are lovely, car parking is decent, and I don't use the gym or sports halls so can't comment. But the pool is never clean, is in desperate need of refurbishment and the changing rooms are always sodden. Last week some bits of ceiling tile fell into the pool, and nobody seems overly shocked; one of the guys who swims there (retired) says the pool is pretty much unchanged since he was at school... Shame, because in terms of location, staff and amenities it's pretty good!

The swimming facility was clean and tidy, but there was nowhere secure to store your personal items in the shower/changing room area. The lockers are only available poolside which is obviously not convenient when you want to shower after a swim. I liked the idea of a Hard Shoulder lane, which enables people to bob around talking or doing on the spot exercises without impacting the main swimming lanes used for completing lengths.
