AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Rooms AND building is filthy. rundown isn’t the word it’s more like a crack den meets concentration camp. Cant get hold of any staff even though their reception is apparently 24 hours. It’s impossible to get a reply for anything. They are quick to take your money but returning it is another matter. Still waiting for my £100.00 deposit to be returned 17 days tomorrow. How they take a deposit for that place is beyond me, you can’t possibly make that place any worse. Shower had no door just a curtain. We had a half used wet toilet roll left for us. We couldn’t even find hand soap! Which is absolutely just appalling. The beds were stained mattresses with a plastic sheet over. I genuinely couldn’t believe my eyes. We had no heating, all the walls and skirting are cracked chipped and terrible with paint slapped over it. We had dirty mugs in our room, half the plug sockets didn’t work, our door had definitely at some point been kicked as you could see a huge chunk of the wood missing in the lock of the frame. This is the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in where I haven’t wanted to take my shoes off. But that’s not all. When I complained I got sent pictures to say it was similar and in fact they had not been misleading with the pictures. Laughable well, I’ve uploaded the pictures so you be the judge of that. No matter how cheap you need to budget a stay PAY MORE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELES!

The hotel was absolutely awful. The shared toilet was disgusting. With the sink ripped out, leaving the pipes loose and an out of order shower. The carpet in the room was dusty in the corners and sticky. The blinds wouldn't work in the room, I had to get the receptionist to come and close them. I flew from Prague and because the listing said free toiletries, I didn't bring any. The free toiletries, were hand and body wash. No shampoo or anything else. The shower in the room was so caked with limescale only a dribble of water came out. Certainly not worth the exorbitant cost. I would expect so much more for the £153 I paid for one night. I have stayed in Brighton on many occasions, in much cheaper rooms, and have only ever had positive experiences. Such a shame.
