GBS Swim School

As the mother of a 7-year-old autistic daughter who is passionate about swimming, I was heartbroken to see her confidence and self-esteem begin to decline. She couldn’t understand why she wasn’t progressing like some of her peers in school swimming lessons. Another parent recommended I reach out to Sandra at GBS for their summer crash course, and I’m so glad I did. From our very first phone call, Sandra was incredibly understanding and kind — I immediately felt reassured. I had a good feeling, but what followed completely exceeded my expectations. From the very first lesson, I was blown away. The level of expertise, patience, and insight from the instructors was remarkable. In just one hour, my daughter made progress that she hadn’t in months elsewhere. We’ve tried several swim schools before, but GBS truly stands in a league of its own. The two teachers working with my daughter are nothing short of amazing. They know exactly how to connect with her and bring out the best in her without me constantly needing to explain her autism. I highly recommend GBS swimming school. Sandra who runs it, is very well organised and very committed. They have a great team, very experienced instructors. My son attended their swimming lessons for few years. He has progressed massively, thanks to all his great teachers especially Sarah.
