No customer service. Nothing ever gets fixed - showers have been broken for at least 6 months, steam room/sauna/hot hub are frequently out of order, at least one shower in the pool area is always broken and recently pool heating has stopped working intermittently (cold pool on at least 4 visits over the past few weeks). Changing rooms and pool area often dirty, used to regularly see a cleaner but haven't seen one in months. Staff are generally friendly with a couple of exceptions but management are powerless to do anything. Have been a member for over 7 years (long before dw took over) and in that time there has barely been any maintenance and it has gone severely down hill. Strongly recommend avoiding and finding another gym.

Dirty facilities - its not that there aren't cleaners on duty whenever you go there it is that they just seem to mooch around not doing very much at all and they are really up against it as the facilitis are run down and tired looking. Old machines - The running machines and the cardio machines which I use a lot are from the dark ages without media support unless you want to listen to the DW Radio which is played throughout the gym, they are also not equipped with very many workout options The weight machines are OK. I dont use free weights so can't comment. The Jacuzzi always closes early so if you want to use it last thing its not possible. The reason given is that it is either being cleaned or out of order. I have been a member for about 9 months and at no time ever have both showers in the swimming pool area been working. The showers in the mens changing rooms are always faulty. The swimming Pool is OK. There are no swimming trunk driers in the changing rooms. Initially I thought it was funny when during the first week I noticed that the interactive DW screen (where complaints can be made) didnt work well you guessed it 9 months later it still doesnt. There was one machine which worked all the time. The Lucozade vending machine The final nail in the coffin for DW Fitness Club for me was when I went into cancel my membership on the 2nd of January as I thought the Club was closed on New Years Day! and they told me that I would have to pay another 2 months membership as I hadnt given a full months notice!!! It is definitely not worth the membership.
