The only pros we found were the site close to the park and ride into Oxford £5 to park for 16 hours which includes your return bus fair for two adults - cheap as chips. And the radio piped into the wash block. Here come the cons: - the Diamond website states before booking to note there's no longer a swimming pool, that's fine, no problem. The website still advertises, whether on their site location, facilities or gallery that they have a bar, a play park a pool table and football table in the 'games room'. They have none of these! (there is a 'games room') PLEASE FULLY UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE! - a large amount of people appear to be living on site (site workers etc with families), I've no problem with that, they we nice friendly people, however I felt like we were living in there home as it were. They left wet washing from the washing machines on the washing up draining boards, a sponge and razor behind the pipes of the shower, and left for work really early (the campsite is covered in thick gravel which is very noisy, especially at 7:30am). - the campsite is very tired. Nothing seems to get fixed when broken. Spinning taps in the toilet block, broken soap dispensers, cracked plug socket in the laundry room are just a few examples. The 'games room' never got tidied or cleaned, with beer cans filling the bin. There was a dartboard in there, but the workmen who live on site seem to use this so we didn't get a chance to have a game. The site just had a general unkempt feel, with bits of detritus left lying around. - the road noise is very loud, which kicks in at around 6:30am. - not the site's fault, but there's hardly any phone signal (we're on O2 no idea on other providers) and their free WiFi didn't reach our pitch. Again, not the site's fault, just a niggle. - not the site's fault.again, but the only pub within walking distance is permanently closed. We booked our stay on incorrect information, which is the most frustrating thing of all. We have stayed on nicer sites for less.

It’ll be our last time on this site unfortunately it’s changed massively, it no longer has a swimming pool, the kids play area is no more as there is gravel up-to the bottom of the slide along with old caravans dumped on there and a dumper truck. Also the games room/shed is no more. It’s also housed to people that seem to be living on site working community! Coming and going all day. It’s just not a campsite anymore, my son (5) hit in the neck no reason and my daughter (8) had a rock thrown at her knee. Sorry but no thanks. 2 night weekend was cut short and we left first thing next morning, the site manager is lovely and does all she can to accommodate sadly new owners means it’s all out of her hands.
