Canterbury Reach Lodge Retreat

We stayed in Appledore Lodge as 6 adults and a dog visiting family for birthday celebrations and a trip to Marlowe theatre for the panto - location was excellent for where we needed to get to. Lodge was spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice that bath towels were large full-sized ones and not the standard small size you often get at holiday parks. The main bathroom had a heated towel rail, but the en-suite had nothing, could really have done with a couple of hooks on wall between door and shower just for hanging towels on to dry. The wardrobes in twin rooms only had 2 hangers. Kitchen was mostly well stocked, I was able to prepare a birthday brunch for everyone. Just a shame the glasses were all different shapes / sizes and there was only 3 mugs or you had to use a tea cup. We used the washer dryer, but the door jammed and we couldn't get our clean clothes out. Reception didn't know what to do. We eventually googled and found an override lever by the filter. Was a bit stressful! Overall a nice stay, if weather had been nicer we'd have walked round the site but it poured all weekend. We would definitely come back though.

My partner and I just came and spent 4 days at Canterbury lodge retreat. Very easy to book and easy to find. We stayed in lodge 22. Immaculately clean inside, had everything we needed for our stay, fresh towels and linen. Lovely helpful staff too. Really beautiful location. Definitely will come again!
