Village Gym Aberdeen

Great technogym equipment but they need more of it. Lately I’ve noticed that it is so difficult to get a proper session of anything in the gym. I’ve had to change whatever session I do and accommodate to something else because there’s groups of people using the cable machine for like 30+min or the racks. And honestly I tried everything, I first trying to go earlier that 6 am and it is busy, now I’m going around 6 pm because it’s going to be busy anyways, but at least I get more sleep. They need to put a cap on the members. I was super excited to join because it is the only gym in Aberdeen to have a hip thrust machine, but I can barely use it because it’s so packed. And forget about setting your barbell and plates, that’s space is also being used. Additionally, the app doesn’t even tell you how many members are at the gym, they even changed it and now it doesn’t even tell you what cardio machines are empty so you could tell if it’s packed or not. It’s actually kind of pointless to even have an app at this point. The changing rooms, the showers and the toilets are usually really clean. But there are some members that think they own the place and they leave their stuff all around, like leaving their clothes in the cubicles while they’re showering. And yes, I could potentially change gyms, but unfortunately for me Im stuck here for multiple reasons.

Have used the gym for a good few months now. Air-con is shockingly bad always far too hot in there. Blue roll and spray bottles always empty especially at peak time whilst staff just stand there. Many machines that are broken/don’t work properly including assault bikes (I’ve reported it multiple times). Used the sauna and steam room tonight and the state of the floors in the changing rooms were far worse than any leisure centre I’ve ever been in was actually quite disgusting if I’m honest, and I’m not normally bothered this is the reason for my writing a view tonight. This is supposed to be a premium gym but I’m really struggling to see my value for money.
