I’ve been attending the gym for just under a month now, primarily focusing on the equipment. Today, I took part in my first BodyPump class, led by a trainer named Fiona — and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. From the moment the session began, Fiona was attentive and supportive. She immediately recognised that it was my first time and made a consistent effort to ensure I was following along safely and confidently. At the end of the class, she approached me to congratulate me on completing the session — a gesture I genuinely appreciated. In a group of around 30 participants, her ability to provide personal guidance, especially to newcomers, was impressive and speaks volumes about her professionalism and care. I also want to acknowledge a fellow participant to my left who offered quiet support throughout and took the time afterwards to encourage me. That small exchange really reinforced the sense of community and support within the class — it’s not just the trainers who have your back, but the members too. The gym itself is excellent: spacious, well-equipped, and thoughtfully laid out. There’s a great range of machines, hot and cold showers, filtered water stations, vending machines stocked with essentials like pre-workout, and even a sauna — which I’ve yet to try but look forward to using in the future. Typically, I struggle with motivation after a few weeks of training, but I find myself genuinely looking forward to each visit to JD. That, I believe, is the difference here. Highly recommended — 10/10. Thank you, Fiona, for your dedication and for making new members feel seen, supported, and encouraged. It makes all the difference.

The gym itself is really good, but I'm giving this rating for the men's showers - they smell like PISS!!! Every single time I go to the shower, they smell so bad, some worse some less worse, so you end up walking into each cubicle to see which one smells less of piss, but the smell sometimes is unbearable. Put some signage on with a fine to whoever does it, to scare them at least and clean them more often.
