Drumboy Camping

Spent a week here and it is a lovely spot. Compost toilet was new to me but it was no problem, great idea. The shower was warm too so big thumbs up there. You feel like your in the middle of no where but actually everything is very accessible even on bikes. This site is a big hit for me as I like the quiet relaxing time away from the everyday hussle of life. Great way to spend time with my family and other campers were brilliant and friendly. Gate at the bottom does get locked every night but again this is good to stop unwanted visitors just popping in. The owners are all very friendly and do anything to make sure your stay is as good as possible for you. Definitely staying on my top 10 list of campsites. Thank you

Stunning views. Can see Arran. Ideal location for Central Scotland in general. Easy enough to find, signposted well. Rural enough to make you feel like you're away from it all but a short drive to major towns for a cheeky pizza. I was nervous about the toilets and shower but both were clean and even smelled fairly pleasant. Owners were absolutely lovely. Only issue was other campers letting their kids run riot at silly o'clock, but that's a risk you take on any site. Will definitely come back, maybe even with my own (well behaved) children!
