Recent visitor feedback highlights cleanliness, reliable hot water, helpful staff, minimal wait times. Overall rating: 3.6 stars.
The positives: Location. City centre, easy walking distance to train and bus station. Dirt cheap (Which is reflected in the negatives). Negatives: Dirty, uncleaned rooms. Used bar of soap and hair in the shower. Dust and dirt throughout the room. Electric heater that smelt of burning all night. Shower leaked excessively from shower head. General cleanliness of the hotel was well below standard. Could not checkin at time allocated due to room being cleaned - delayed 50 minutes and room certainly had NOT been cleaned despite the delay. Overall: Had a roof, allowed for a nights sleep. Would not rush back even at the cheap prices.

I am giving this hotel 5 stars overall because it was outstanding value for money. It is literally a short walk from Union Street. My single room was cosy, the en-suite bathroom was clean and had lovely fluffy white towels. The overbath shower was great, with no shortage of hot water, and there was a heated towel rail. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dropping one star on service because breakfast was 8-11am, but when I appeared at 8am on the Saturday, they were still settling out and the cooked food was not ready. I had a bus to catch! Otherwise, the buffet breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The building and paintwork are a bit tired, but for the price, this is an observation, not a complaint. I paid £180 for three nights B&B. I would certainly recommend it and return if I were in Aberdeen again.
