Overall a enjoyable experience. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a spa day. This included a back, neck, and shoulder massage, then we spent time in the pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi, finishing off the day with a cheeky Prosseco and a fruit scone. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us our spa day bag that included a robe and towel (that we had to return at the end of the day), and a pair of flip flops. The massage was very enjoyable, just what you would expect for a refreshing 30 min treatment. My back feels great after that. The only criticisms are that the pool area is a bit grubby. The ceiling tiles are mostly moldy and various fixtures and fittings could really do with a clean/replacement. It's hard to fully relax when surrounded by dirt and mold. The changing rooms and generally signage etc are also looking a bit tired and well used. If you are paying £50/60 per month for membership, I'd expect things to look a bit more modern, or at least clean. The floor and showers etc were clean, in fact they were being cleaned as we were there, but it's all the stuff out of reach that has mold and dirt. Even some of the walls were cracking or falling apart. I will definitely use the facilities again, as I didn't get chance to check out the gym upstairs. But yeah, overall a pleasant experience, but could be improved if the place was freshened up a bit and the flickering lights were fixed. Have a great day!

Worst gym I’ve ever been a member of…almost £60 a month for poor customer service , a below average gym and a “luxury spa and pool area” that has no towels. You’re locked in to a 12 month membership and then once it runs out you’re apparently locked into a one month rolling membership which you also need to provide a months notice for cancellation. For reference they require you to type an email with why you’re leaving….The most interaction I’ve had from anyone at Bannatyne in the last 12 months has been constant phone calls and emails over £58 I was due for cancelling my membership ( after I’d completed 12 months ). Franchise gym that’s only interested in your money. Wouldn’t recommended to anyone I know.
