Bannatyne Health Club And Spa

I had a nice morning at Bannatyne with my friends. We all had a massage booked and spent some time in the spa zone. My therapist was Lola and she was lovely, and I enjoyed my back and head massage. Facilities are dated but I didn’t mind. It was clean. The pool looked clean, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room all in well working condition. The only thing I’d suggest improving is properly educating people who are coming for the first time about hygiene and the need to shower before jumping in the pool or jacuzzi after sauna/steam room! We saw people not doing it and it was really gross!

Dreadful gym. I’m a member of a Bannatyne club elsewhere and visited numerous locations when away working. Edinburgh is by far the worst location and I’m glad I’m not paying the fee for this gym. The whole building is a mess and not what you’d expect for the money paid. Paint peeling off the wall, damp spots, dirty and a terrible smell. The gym itself is lacking in basic equipment and has a ridiculous amount of space used up by treadmills. The sauna and pool area was dark and unclean when I’ve used previously. Similarly, the changing rooms are in very poor condition with litter and general mess. No plans to return unless it’s given a massive refurbishment and respect shown to those who pay a hefty monthly fee.
