The welcoming and lady at the desk was really nice. The room was clean. My problem was the ladies showers. Two had no warm water, then the last one had scorching hot water only. The building is new and clean, but a little stern, like most Hosteling Scotland ones. It lacked decorations and a personnal touch like the private hostels usually have.

There are no lockers for guests which is unheard of for a hostel- was lucky that one of the staff members and that the hostel was empty enough to be given a private room so that I wouldn’t have to worry about my stuff being stolen. They also don’t have any hairdryers. And the motion activated lights in the top floor bathroom kept turning off while I was using the bathroom and showering - not ideal
