lovely economic place to stay, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Only issue was the shower flooding the bathroom as it was blocked and having to use my own towel to mop it up. Otherwise very central lovely place, the Causeway cafe downstairs is a plus with great food. Found out when checking out they actually supply towels if you ask, thats a plus as i didn't know about that. Also the radiator in the bedroom which I was told was on a timer was not always on and at times the room could have been that little bit warmer.

NOT WORTH THE PRICE. I booked a private bedroom for a day of rest in-between travels, and boy am I glad it was only for one night. I didn't expect much it's only a room in a hostel, but still for £70 I felt scammed. Basic cleanliness and comfort would have been nice. The bed is old and rickety, with a hole behind it and no electric outlets anywhere near it. The sheets don't fit the mattress and don't feel clean or fresh. The bathroom is something out of the 1960s in soviet union with a shower not separated by any kind of glass wall or curtain from the rest of the bathroom, spraying water everywhere. No bin in the bathroom: if you are on your period, good luck! The door of the bathroom is moldy were people hang their towel. Want to rinse your mouth after cleaning your teeth? Take a water bottle because the pressure of the faucet is too much to cup water in your hands without waterboarding yourself. There are holes in the ceiling of the bathroom, the plaster is coming of the walls everywhere, I'm pretty sure the floorboard beneath the window is moldy too, and why the hell are the switches so far away from the bed? Even the chairs and the tea/coffee station in the reception are look dodgy. It just adds up. For £40 it might be acceptable but clearly not for £70.
