I was pleasantly surprised by this service area as it would seem that the staff here have pride in their little services. They were polite and noted tables and carpark being cleaned and picked from litter and the place seemed well cared for. like most UK service areas there are the usual fast food and takeaway stuff. But it was the staff that impressed me. Toilets where clean and the shower was very hot and much appreciated the shower cubicle could do with being bigger and as it's small and the shower curtain replaced but overall was a good experience.

as a Trucker. It’s average small welcome Break. Ok for a stop but not for much else. HGV parking charge is a ripoff for what you get (30£ without vouchers 33£ with). Due to the showers being worse than a prison/ barracks, due no bench or much space to change or wash basin . There’s NO WiFi in the truck park, let alone only having one bar of signal(yes phone providers limit) but charging hotel prices it should be expected. Truck parking is on a hill, not the worst but not ideal. Very limited hot food options eg burger King or the shop deli or a coffee shop. There is a Waitrose. No quiet area if busy bar retreating back to the truck . Some of what I’ve mentioned can be mentioned of the mainstream services and gets put down by some proper truck stops that have WiFi and decent showers and decent cafe with healthy and much better price options. But few off around. Personally I think around 15£ a night would be better with a 6£ meal voucher and that’s pushing it. 33£ I can book into a hotel with way better facilities and value for money. I would like to remind services with out trucks you would have nothing to sell or provide. And even if are employers will repay us it’s still a lot to ask. I doubt any main stream service will take on my points I have said, and I’ve tried to be fair and honest but if you charge top whack you’re going to be judged by that. But I hope by fare reviewing sites it will possibly aid in the future of improving are industry and how truck drivers/humens are treated and ripped off for doing there job and complaining with strict rules.
