I was very disappointed with the shower facilities in the disabled toilet/shower room at the Ashton Old Road gym (The Gym Group). There used to be a handheld shower head that could be removed from its holder to reach all parts of the body, but it has now been replaced by a fixed outlet mounted high on the wall. The water coming from it was cold as well even though I tried for hot water in every setting possible, which made the experience unpleasant and unsuitable for users who need accessible facilities. It’s disappointing that this branch does not maintain the same standards for accessible facilities as other The Gym Group locations. I hope management reinstates a handheld shower and ensures the water temperature is reliable so others do not have to go through the same experience.

Good selection of equipment, cleaner always on site so clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff, machines could do with an update but can’t complain for the price I only go off peak so no problem using the equipment I need. Regular free samples too, electrolytes, etc.
