Having regularly attended here for over 5 years, it’s sad to see how the private equity ownership of the PureGym group is letting their gyms slowly deteriorate. The rate at which this particular gym is getting worse seems to be accelerating. Let’s start with the changing rooms. I can only speak on behalf of the gents, but they’re extremely tired, with the lockers dented, rusting, and many unable to be locked properly. The toilets are grim too. The gym floor itself is aging hard. There has been very little investment in new equipment over the last few years, and it really shows. There seem to be fewer carabiner clips than machines, meaning you sometimes can’t actually use a machine that’s free, since you need to wait for a carabiner to become available. Pathetic. This gym is in dire need of a refurb. If you’re looking to become a regular here, I’d suggest you look elsewhere - there are plenty of gyms around that are much better looked after, I’m sure. I’m strongly considering to one myself.

Having been to PureGyms all over the country, this is by far the worst. The men's locker rooms are literally falling apart. Takes me about five minutes every time to find a locker that actually locks. I suppose it's fine if you don't mind your stuff being easily nicked. It is old and in desperate need of a refurb. The owner claims there was a refurb just two years ago – this is an absolutely hilarious claim. The gym is also exceptionally crowded. Of course, all gyms are busy during peak hours but this one I find to be absolutely unusable. It definitely services too many people.
