Penwortham Leisure Centre

Looks tatty... used to be a nice water feature in the middle and a palm tree.. when something stops working why not just replace it?? New changing rooms look miles better but they were about 6 years overdue. Please invest in some more chairs for parents swimming lesson viewing... I'd recommend get rid of the children's mini chairs and replace them with adult ones. Finally there needs to be more 'general swims' at the weekend.. if I want to bring 1 child instead of the whole family, I have to pay the full family of 4 rate... which is silly as my child gets in free due to having swim lessons. It just isn't logical. Staff are all very lovely and friendly and extremely helpful, but the place still needs more investment and running better.

Having just moved to the area. I called into penwortham leisure centre to see about joining the centre to swim. There was a lovely young man on reception i asked if it would be possible to have a look around as its a bit scary knowing how it all works when you have never been before. He then called for another member of staff another lovely young man who showed me lockers and changing rooms and showers etc. He asked if i needed to know anything else . I said thank you i feel much better now. It was a total pleasure and the staff were amazing cant thank them enough. It felt a lovely friendly place and i have now joined and looking forward to my first swim.
