I have been consistently pleased with my membership at Nuffield Health in Manchester. It provides a high-quality environment and a positive community experience. The atmosphere here is incredibly friendly. Both the club members and all the staff are genuinely nice and helpful, which makes such a difference to my motivation. A huge shoutout must go to the cleaning team—the gym and changing rooms are always immaculately clean. Facilities and Layout The facilities here are brilliant and cater to all my needs. The swimming pool, sauna, and steam room—they are perfect for winding down after a hard session. The changing room facilities and showers are also very good and well-maintained. The gym layout itself is fantastic, offering diverse training areas. I especially enjoy the Functional Training area, complete with the sled track. Classes and Timetable The classes and timetable offer plenty of choice and are always well-organised. My personal favourites are the high-energy Met Con and Circuits sessions and the calming Body Balance class. Personal Trainer Recommendation: Dan Nottingham Finally, if you are looking for a personal trainer, I cannot recommend Dan Nottingham highly enough. I’ve been training with Dan for three years now, and he is absolutely superb. He's knowledgeable, motivating, and his guidance has been a core part of my fitness journey. The gym staff and all the personal trainers, in general, are great, but Dan is truly exceptional. In summary, Nuffield Health Manchester is a clean, well-equipped, and friendly gym.💚💚💪

First of all, the cleaning staff are absolutely spot on - I didn’t catch his name, but the core cleaner in the men’s changing room does an amazing job. He’s always cheerful, helpful, and keeps everything immaculate. The sauna, steam room, and swimming facilities are also really good and clearly well maintained — you can see regular checks being done, which is great to see. Now, onto the rest. The actual gym staff aren’t helpful at all - same goes for the reception team. They just don’t seem interested and the customer service is really poor. It gives off the impression that they couldn’t care less about members, which is disappointing considering the price point of this gym. The gym itself feels dated, with worn-out equipment that’s long overdue an upgrade. There’s much better kit and value for money at other gyms in Manchester that cost far less. The layout is also frustrating - it makes no sense at all. For example, there’s a dumbbell rack placed directly behind a barbell thrust machine, so when someone’s using it, you can’t even access the weights rack. It’s just poor design and really inconvenient. Overall, the cleaning and spa facilities are a credit to the place, but the actual gym area and staff experience seriously let it down. It feels like it’s running on reputation rather than quality - definitely not worth the premium membership cost.
