JD Gyms Preston

Fantastic overall gym. I've had multiple memberships with different gyms around the area and JD Gyms is my favourite. I've had memberships at both the old JD Gyms site and new site here. The new site is definitely better than the old. Fantastic varied kit for everyone that can be adjusted at multiple different points to be personalised for the best work. This gym is also ACTUALLY 24/7 unlike some gyms which will advertise as such but not be open 24h on Sundays. Staff are very friendly. The gym is busy but never overly busy from what I've seen, I'm never struggling waiting for equipment. In regards to some critiques. It would be beneficial if the staffed hours began at 5am instead of 6am to bring it in line with some competitors in the area, meaning the main changing rooms can be open earlier too. Also, since the last site, I've noticed there's less equipment for abdominal exercises now and they no longer have a seated dips machine (bring back please!). The QR code system is also highly flawed and some members have to use codes. Finally, in terms of those with disabilities which may wish to attend, they will likely struggle to park in their designated spaces here. I'm consistently noticing most of not all accessible parking spaces taken by cars with not a single blue badge in sight, meaning the drivers are more than likely not entitled to park there and may be doing so for convenience. Overall, I absolutely love this gym and very happy I got a membership here!

First visit today, very impressed, Lauren showed me round and explained everything I needed to know. Really nice clean spacious changing rooms. Plenty of cardio and weight training equipment. Looking forward to trying some of the classes.
