What a beautiful place! Rose lodge has everything you could need for your convenience. On arrival, we were impressed with how immaculate the lodge was and how amazing it smelled. The mattress and pillows are of great quality and so comfortable and the shower is fantastic. The kitchen area has been expertly done; it has everything you could need. The attention to detail shows a real labour of love, with the comfort of the inside matched by the outside. Pretty solar lights illuminated the hot tub as we watched the sun set, a fire pit provides a warm glow as the chill of the night descends, and the benefit of a covered porch with chairs offers solace from the wind while still enjoying the views covered by the cosy blanket provided. With walking access to Gibside, it really is the perfect getaway to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside and explore the local area. We miss the sheep already!
