What a find! Lovely little campsite! Super friendly host who showed us around the site on arrival. Really clean facilities - toilets/showers/washing up area. Electric & water on every pitch (which were really spacious). Highly recommend! 20min drive to Barnard Castle which was a fab morning out!

We have just arrived home from a wknd at this site, we had seen the slight negative issues about facilities, but as they are only 2 of us in a caravan with our own, we decided to give it a go, as otherwise it sounded lovely. We were met by a very friendly owner, she spoke to us on numerous occasions whilst we were there, very helpful. The pitches are a good size and the site is extremely clean. As we had seen on previous reviews, the 2 porta loos and portable shower unit with 2 showers in, even though clean, let the site down. I'm glad our children are grown up, as I wouldn't have wanted to be 1 of the families in tents. My other slight negative comment, is that we paid for a fully serviced pitch at £72 for 2 nights in total, but on arrival were told we had to turn the water off when not in use, it rained late on the first night, we really wouldn't have wanted to be going out to turn it on, to get a wash before bed, so we filled our water butt, not the best after what we paid. Having spoke to the owner, we know they are in battles with their local council to get better facilities, so fingers crossed, as it does have the making of a higher star rating, sadly not just yet 🤞
