Pace Health Club

As usual, I swpied by membership card and asked for a towel where the immediate response was that I would have to pay the fee for the bigger towel. I kindly asked for the small towel that is provided free as part of my membership. There was no apology given, only response was that they were out and I would have to pay for the upgrade to get a towel. One of the biggest decisions for selecting this membership was that towels are provided and I do not carry any of my own. I responded that if the gym fails to stock the regular towels, that is the responsibility of the gym and not that of the customer and therefore would have to be made good by the gym. The manager argued that it wasn't his fault as he had ordered them and they didn't arrive. Some real professionalism at play here. Someone in a management position should know the difference between me addressing him as an individual vs the face of your gym. I tried explaining again that the failings are on the part of the gym and not that of the customer and you cannot be expected to pay for the gyms shortcomings. All reasoning fell on deaf ears and I had no choice but to purchase the towel.

Overall this Pace health club is of a good standard. They have a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, gym and 15m swimming pool. In general the place is clean, although the odd time you go there can be plastic cups everywhere due to people not using the bins. You can have a relaxing time. They often have spa packages available at affordable prices. The staff are always friendly and happy to help. I would say this place is worth a visit.
