Letchworth Lido

Lovely, 50m, heated pool which is open during the summer season. The pool itself is clean, minimal debris, and was heated to around 25° when we visited during a rainy 8am lane swim. Booked in advance via the everyone active app. Plenty of parking at the pool, which is free for up to 2 hours. Communal male (turn right from entrance) and female (turn left) changing rooms, which were clean but basic. Hot showers and clean toilets alongside lockers (50p refundable) available. The walk from the female changing rooms to the shallow end is a bit of a trek, so recommend taking sliders. The lane swim was a popular session, but the pool is so big that the lanes were generous (double width slow lane) so it didn't feel too crowded. Attentive life guards. Tank is very shallow at the shallow end, so watch your knees if doing breaststroke!

Love swimming here. Good to see the women’s changing rooms have been spruced up a bit! Would be good if the slide and diving board were reintroduced. Might attract more young people if so. Too many prohibitions atm. Still a lovely pool.
