Fantastic campsite, we loved our weekend here. Paul and Gillian, the owners, are so helpful and friendly and have done a fantastic job of creating a relaxing site. The pitches are huge and really spread out amongst the long grass so it felt really peaceful. I was a bit nervous about the composting toilets but they worked fine and the hot showers were excellent. The friendly alpacas kept the kids entertained and the fact it’s only a five minute walk to the Running Fox cafe and shop is a huge bonus. Will definitely be returning.

Such a beautiful place. The campsite is outstanding, different pitching areas over a large field. There is the option to stay in the shepherds hut if you like, but I'd recommend the camping. Showers, sinks, toilets and a urinal and also a small hut with games and books in to keep yourselves busy. Lots of local walks, but beware of the hills when out for a walk. On the campsite, the owners have alpacas, sheep and chickens and there are a couple of barn owls that live on the site. Practically on the site is St Wilfrid Church, a lovely 14th century church with lots of history. Overall, thoroughly recommend 👍🏻👍🏻
