Beautiful site we originally booked for 2 nights but once there extended for 5 nights. Whole site and facilities are immaculate it is very peaceful and ideal for those with dogs we took 2 labradors who thoroughly enjoyed walking in the woods and swimming in the river followed by a doggy ice cream everyday on the walk back. Every member of staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The site got very busy one night and it was still silent and the facilities kept spotless. We enjoyed it so much we are booking up for a week in August. I would recommend studying the map first and choosing your pitch carefully, the one we had would have been extremely difficult to get out with a caravan in tow due to 3 motor home bays directly infront and a hilly area behind so reversing may have been tricky if fully booked. We are both coach drivers so very confident in manoeuvring around awkward spaces. A HGV driver next to us also said he noticed this immediately too. That is literally the only minor criticism everything was perfect and we can't wait to return. Please try there fresh eggs and honey you won't get better anywhere! Overall if you want a adults only peaceful break away in stunning surroundings with spotless facilities this is definitely the place to book!

Nice site. Could do with updating. Some pitches have hard ground. Uneven ground and on grass. Entry by ANPR. Shower facilities are limited if the site is busy. Mainly set up for caravans as I did not see anywhere for a motorhome to dump grey water. Grey water for portable empty was behind a building. Make sure you have a long hookup cable as the power was some way from the pitch. On the outskirts of Durham to the North.
