It's a great site, located within easy walking distance from Beamish, if you're OK with climbing hills! The modern toilet block is spacious and clean, other amenities include a pot washing and food prep area, Elsan, kiddies play area, shop and bar. Do be aware that the roads leading to the site and between the site and Beamish museum are narrow and winding and there are no footpaths at the side of the road, so be extra careful on route.

Having read some reviews on the day we were going i was really worried. OK some of the pitches aren't terribly level but we just used our ramps. The shower block was modern and clean, ok you had to press for the shower water a few times …
